Balancing a demanding career as a neurodevelopmental therapist with family life, she has consistently nurtured her passion for painting. Working primarily in oils, her practice embraces an eclectic approach to subject matter, immersing herself in a theme before moving on to explore something entirely new.

Her artistic journey has encompassed diverse interests: Brahman cattle during her time in the Free State, whimsical compositions incorporating cats into floral arrangements, and bold graphic interpretations of koi.

Currently, she is engaged in a series portraying Indian women carrying water vessels — an homage to their resilience, grace, and elegance expressed through vibrant saris.

Denise’s work has been showcased in solo exhibitions, including Memories of Africa at Ryde Library Gallery, Isle of Wight (April 2001), and at the World Brahman Congress in Parys, Free State (April 2013).
