Georgia O’Keefe, an American Artist said, “If you take a flower in your hand and really
look at it, it’s your world for the moment… I wanted to hold that memory.” Loved that.
Art was not considered a career, so I became a PA. Did my stint in London and toured
Europe in the 70’s. Art Galleries and Museums inspired me.

Back home I spent the next life chapter as a mom and homemaker. But needed to create, so joined North Coast Artists about 25 years ago, and have painted ever since. Paintings sold locally and gone to USA, Dubai, Germany and UK. I love animals and nature, meercats are my favourite.

North Coast Artists Awards:

MOAG Award from North Coast Artists for Best Painting in 2003.
Highly Commended Award for “Shirley Valentine” for Painting in 2005.
Commended Award for “Survivor” in 2011
Merit Award in 2011

Bi-Annual exhibitions at the then Buxtons in Umhlanga, Gateway Mall, and La Lucia
Mall.

I have also exhibited at local galleries including KZNSA Gallery, and with “Art Givers”
who supported the SPCA.

North Coast Artists decided after this date to stop giving awards but to encourage all artists to exhibit. Since then, we have held 2 exhibitions a year at La Lucia Mall, a percentage of the proceeds going to Animal Anti-Cruelty. Bi-Annual exhibitions at the then Buxtons in Umhlanga, Gateway Mall, and La Lucia Mall. I have also exhibited at local galleries including KZNSA Gallery, and with “Art Givers” who supported the SPCA.
